” The Bach 170 series trumpet is a modern take on an original model by Vincent Bach. While the Stradivarius is well known for its iconic 1-piece trumpet bell, Bach’s original Apollo design featured a two-piece bell. Our new 170 line of professional-level instruments feature the same valve block and chassis as the world-famous 180 line of trumpets. Paired with our first ever 2-piece, 2-material bell that has been treated with the same top-secret annealing processes as our Stradivarius trumpets, the result is an instrument fit for a modern trumpet player of any style.
The 17043GYR features a two-piece 43 bell with a gold brass stem and yellow brass flare. The unique combination of materials results in a sound that offers the depth and richness associated with gold brass with the brilliance and shine of yellow brass. It is built on an ML .459” one-piece brass valve chassis, the same as our 180 line, and has a lightweight body with brass inner and outer slides, and brass Z braces. The model has been modernized with a new 6-style reversed leadpipe that offers exceptionally quick response and ease of play. (2023)

The updated #25 leadpipe has improved intonation and response. The result is a 37 that is truly a master of all trades. (2023)

” The 190M37X is built on a new Medium Plus (M+) .456″ two-piece valve chassis with nickel balusters, lightweight nickel inner slides, brass outer slides, and brass valve guides.
The Mt. Vernon weight, side seam #37 bell in yellow brass features a true French bead, made with techniques and materials not used since the 1950s. The French bead provides exceptional projection that throws as much of the sound forward to the audience as possible. The narrow wrap nickel Z braces and brass 1st slide brace make this our most efficient and quickest responding trumpet. The lightweight nickel inner slides combine with the Mt. Vernon weight, French bead bell to create a brilliant and electric sound. The trumpet is designed to achieve the efficiency and brilliance of a lightweight, medium bore trumpet without sacrificing the rich core of a standard-weight horn. The clear lacquer finish provides a subtle warmth to the overall sound. The 190M37X is loved by commercial and classical players alike. (2023)
19043
2023 – present
- Bore: ML
- Leadpipe: #26
- Bell: 43, 5″ bell
- Valve Block: 2-piece
- Body:
- Other:
” The 19043 is built on an ML .459″ two-piece valve chassis with nickel balusters, nickel outer slides and brass valve guides. The 5″ side-seam #43 bell with a round steel wire bell bead is paired with the never released original design of Vincent Bach, the #26 leadpipe. Bach’s notes state that the #26 leadpipe is a perfect match for the #43 bell. It provides the player with efficiency and responsiveness, both highlighting the inherent brilliance of the #43 bell while allowing the player access to extreme dynamic ranges and full palette of colors. The 5″ bell diameter helps balance the brilliance of the #43 bell taper with breadth of sound. The clear lacquer finish provides a subtle warmth to the overall sound. Our artists find this instrument exceptional in every situation, from the Dave Matthews Band all the way to the brass quintet. The 19043 is an excellent choice for anybody looking for a broad and brilliant sound that projects and plays with ease. (2023)
190L65GV
2023 – present
“Vindabona” model
- Bore: L
- Leadpipe: 43
- Bell: 65G, 5″ bell
- Valve Block: 2-piece
- Body:
- Other:
” The 190L65GV is built on a Large bore Vindabona (‘LV’) .462″ two-piece valve chassis with nickel balusters, nickel outer slides, and brass valve guides. The new bore size takes the horn from medium-large bore to large bore in the same style as the MLV, for players looking for an even bigger sound than the MLV but still desiring efficiency. The standard weight, side-seam 5″ #65G bell with a round brass wire bell is heavier than normal for the 190 series. The additional weight provides the player with an even richer core to their sound and the freedom to push their instrument without fear of the sound getting crass. The #65 bell flare is Bach’s largest bell design and provides the player with unparalleled breadth and warmth. The choice of gold brass makes the sound even richer and more mellow at soft dynamics while still allowing the player to get bright at loud dynamics. The wide bracing is balanced with the addition of the first slide brace to help with focus and projection. The redesigned #43 leadpipe gives the horn a free-blowing and easy feel, especially when combined with the newly designed LV tuning slide. The brilliance of the #43 leadpipe perfectly balances the large bell. This instrument is the ideal choice for the player looking for the ultimate, rich, dark sound that can still project. Our artists have done everything from the Hindemith Sonata, to the smokiest ballads and even lead trumpet. (2023)
19072V
2023 – present
“Vindabona” model
- Bore: ML (0.459″)
- Leadpipe: 44
- Bell: 72
- Valve Block: 2-piece
- Body:
- Other:
” The 19072V is built on an MLV .459″ two-piece valve chassis with nickel balusters, nickel outer slides and brass valve guides. The standard weight, side-seam #72 bell with a round steel wire bell is heavier than normal for the 190 series. The additional weight provides the player with an even richer core to their sound and the freedom to push their instrument without fear of the sound getting crass. The large flared #72 bell is paired with the #44 leadpipe in lightweight nickel silver and our updated step bore design, Medium Large Vindabona (‘MLV’), that gradually grows from small bore to medium large bore. This creates a conical front end, similar to a cornet, that allows the player to achieve a cornet-like beauty to their sound when desired. Even though it may start conical, the heart of the instrument is still a cylindrical .459″ bore and responds with a brilliant and vibrant sound when pushed. The horn features a narrow width wrap and nickel Z braces, reminiscent of the NY era for ultimate responsiveness. The efficient #44 leadpipe in lightweight nickel silver provides the agility associated with a lightweight pipe while the nickel silver material keeps the sound focused and warm. This instrument is the ideal choice for someone looking for a big sound with minimal effort. Our artists find it to be well-suited for all genres but especially popular for soloing in front of a big band like Sean Jones or leading from the back of the band like Summer Camargo on SNL. (2023)

Vernon weight, side seam #72 bell in yellow brass features a true French bead, made with techniques and materials not used since the 1950s. The French bead provides exceptional projection that throws as much of the sound forward to the audience as possible. The wide wrap nickel Z braces are paired with the large #72 bell for a broad, sizzling sound that can soar over even the loudest bands or amps. A #43 leadpipe in gold brass and lightweight nickel inner slides combine with the Mt. Vernon weight, French bead bell to create a brilliant and electric sound. The lacquer finish provides a subtle warmth to the overall sound. The 19072X is a fantastic all-around instrument for those looking for free-blowing brilliance.
