Based on these help-wanted advertisements. Vincent was short of workers during WW2, and later in the mid-1950s, as there was a boom in the number of musical instruments being sold to the “baby boomer” generation.

This is the first known help-wanted ad for Vincent’s first major factory, located at East 41st Street. At the time, Vincent Bach Corporation had fewer than five employees, so, interestingly, they were advertising in the South Bend/Elkhart area, seeking highly skilled and experienced workers.

After moving to the larger factory in the Bronx in 1928, Vincent advertised in the local South Bend newspaper, which is close to the brass instrument manufacturing capital at that time of Elkhart, IN.
