Bach French horn prototype mouthpieces
BachLoyalist recently added some examples of Bach French Horn mouthpieces dating from the 1920s to the early 1930s. These examples were in a box in a music store’s old inventory before we added them to our collection. The mouthpiece box packaging is from the Bronx (1928 – 1953) manufacturing period, and the lettering on the mouthpieces would indicate the time of the mid-1920s to early 1930. Vincent moved his factory to the Bronx in 1928, perhaps from that timeframe.
Note the similarities to a well-known, modern Trumpet mouthpiece manufacturer.
