BACH VINCENT CORP: One of the largest and most reputable concerns in the United States, manufacturing especially high-grade mouthpieces for the trumpet, cornet, French horn, trombone, and baritone.
Established in 1919 by Vincent Bach, present head of the business, Incorporated under the State laws of New York, for $75,000. The officers of the company are Vincent Bach, president and treasurer, Nic Meyer, vice president, and Hans Bach, secretary. Modern factory and showrooms are located at 237 East Forty street, New York.
Only the latest types of automatic machinery built under the personal supervision of Vincent Bach are used, and expert operatives are employed. All products too are manufactured under the capable and personal supervision of Vincent Bach, formerly a member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Russian Ballet of the Metropolitan Opera New York. Mr Bach, besides being a trumpeter of international repute, is a graduate of a mechanical engineering college. The combination of his musical and technical training has enabled him to create musical products of perfection hitherto unknown. The pressing demand for a perfect mouthpiece prompted Mr. Bach to devote his leisure hours to experimenting until he discovered the mathematically correct proportions between cup diameter, cup depth throat, and backbore necessary to make the mouthpiece what it should be an amplifier of the sound waves produced by the vibrations of the lips.
Bach mouthpieces, either complete or half-finished, are being supplied to many leading jobbers dealers and small manufacturers throughout the United States and Canada. One of the latest products of this firm is the Bach trumpet. This instrument was perfected only after years of study. It is absolutely precise in each mechanical detail and is made in exact accordance with established acoustical principles. It has every improved feature that human skill and ingenuity have conceived as applicable to trumpet building. Created especially to meet the requirements of the most conscientious professional artists, Bach products are used and endorsed by leading artists throughout the world.
