Vincent Bach Mouthpiece Pouches - 1965
Introduced in 1965 by H. & A. Selmer, the Bach Mouthpiece pouch was popular with brass instrument students. The mouthpiece was molded out of flexible PVC plastic and is still an accessory being sold today by Conn Selmer.
“This is the new way to protect brass instrument mouthpieces – convenient to use, handy to carry, and economical. And it really does the job – the Bach mouthpiece pouch completely encloses the mouthpiece within a full 1/8” inch wall of flexible rubber-like plastic. It closely cushions even the delicate shank tip and rim against accidental knocks and falls.
