Visiting Bach Fest 2018
BachLoyalist was fortunate to be invited to attend and to speak at the Vincent Bach FEST held on June 23, 2018, at the Elkhart facility of Conn Selmer. More than 75 fellow Bach loyalists joined the event with trumpet players of all ages.
Below is the agenda and photos from the 2018 event.
The photos below are some of our favorite moments from this event.
Every seat was filled for Bach Fest 2018 hosted in the Conn Selmer Elkhart factory. Evergy employee we met that day was super helpful and a true artisan in their work.
Here are just a few of the photos BachLoyalist took throughout the tour (with permission).
Vincent Bach’s extended family joined Bach Fest 2018 in Elkhart. Vincent’s grand-nephew joined Tedd Waggoner and the BachLoyalist to review previously unknown historical documents and instruments.
One interesting story shared was Vincent’s consideration of manufacturing violins during WW2, as shortages of brass constrained the number of brass instruments that could be manufactured. Violin prototype models and parts were discovered in Vincent’s attic after he passed away in 1976.
